The C.W.C.V., was founded in 1951 and has for its objectives the encouragement of walking and allied activities and the fostering of a greater appreciation of the outdoors. We have around 140 members from all areas of Melbourne and country areas.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the C.W.C.V. is open to anyone eighteen years of age or over who is genuinely interested in bushwalking. It is necessary to do four trips in twelve months to qualify for membership. COVID 19 POLICY

With the current Covid strains and relatively high vaccination rates, outdoor activities are now relatively low risk.
It is usually easy to socially distance on a bushwalk.  Participants may choose to wear a mask if unable to socially distance.
Car-pooling however, represents an increased risk and should be kept to a minimum.  Where it is necessary the wearing of masks is encouraged.
While the vaccination requirement no longer applies, we are aware that Covid is still widespread in the community and members are reminded to avoid club activities if they have any symptoms or suspect they could be contagious.

MEETINGS:

We meet each other on walks and other activities, therefore we have no official meetings other than the AGM in June.
